Pamela
M. Danberg of
Cooper City, Florida – Ms. Danberg has served as President of the
Dwarf Athletic Association of America since 1995. She has
been involved in sports for persons with disabilities since 1986
and has been actively involved with the United States Olympic Committee
(USOC) since 1989. Most recently she was selected as Chef
de Mission for the 2002 Paralympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City,
Utah. Previously, she was delegated as the Assistant Chef
de Mission for the 2000 Paralympic Summer Games in Sydney, Australia.
As an athlete, Ms. Danberg competed in the 1988 Paralympic Games
in Seoul, Korea, where she earned a silver medal in swimming (50m
breaststroke) and was awarded the USOC Disabled Female Athlete of
the Year Award in 1989. She has competed nationally and internationally
in disabled sports since 1986 as a member of the Dwarf Athletic
Association. Ms. Danberg currently serves on the Board of
Directors for the USOC, as well as on the boards of America's Athletes
with Disabilities, and the Women's Sports Foundation Committee on
Sports for Women with Disabilities.
