Following the tragic terrorist attacks in the United States on September 11, 2001, Americans throughout the country awoke to the reality that the world would never again be the same.
With U.S. soldiers deployed throughout the globe defending our nation's freedoms, the Department of Defense launched the Defend America outreach program in the wake of 9/11 to offer Americans the most up-to-date information on the Global War on Terrorism and the successes of our heroic men and women in uniform.
Defend America delivers the facts about the Global War on Terrorism directly to Americans across this great nation through personal interaction with DoD speakers. Defend America coordinates requests for both senior Pentagon civilian and military officials to travel to forums throughout the country allowing community, business and veterans groups the opportunity to interact directly with senior DoD officials. |
Through timely presentations, interactive discussions and open Q&A available to participants at each forum, Defend America's goal is to enhance understanding of the Department of Defense's role in defending the nation against terrorism while offering our citizens direct access to leaders within the Department of Defense.
If you would like to request a speaker from Defend America for your forum, please select the link below and fill out the speaker request form. While every effort will be made to meet your request, please understand that due to the volume of requests received every year, the Department cannot guarantee a representative will be available for every event.
