Low Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC) Program

2005 Low Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC) Grant Application Package and Guidelines
Under the LITC Program, the IRS is authorized to award qualifying organizations matching grants of up to $100,000 per year to develop, expand or continue low-income taxpayer clinics. Applications for the 2005 Low Income Taxpayer Grant program will be accepted from May 1, 2004 through July 1, 2004.

The IRS E-Grants Program
To apply for the Low Income Taxpayer Clinics (LITC) Grant, qualifying organizations must download and install the PureEdge Viewer, a free program to access, complete and transmit applications electronically.

IRS Awards $7.5 Million to Tax Clinics Assisting Low Income Taxpayers
IR-2004-55 — 135 clinics to be funded in 2004.

If you are a low income taxpayer who cannot afford professional tax assistance, you may qualify for help from Low Income Taxpayer Clinics or other organizations that provide assistance in tax disputes.
