Recruitment One-Stop comes to DFAS!
Recruitment One-Stop (ROS) is an e-Gov initiative. The goal of ROS is to position the Federal government as the first stop for job seekers by creating an online experience that offers all of the features that sophisticated job seekers have come to expect from commercial sites. OPM has mandated that all federal agencies including DFAS meet the requirements of Recruitment One-Stop.
ROS will simplify finding and applying for Federal jobs with improved job searching; understandable job vacancy announcements; one resume builder to create the resume used to apply for any federal job and online and real-time status tracking.
DFAS will migrate to ROS in two phases. In Phase I we’ll integrate the USAJOBS search engine with dfas.mil and adopt the USAJOBS multi-tab job announcement format for DFAS job announcements. Phase I will be implemented in the near future.
In Phase II we move to USAJOBS Resume Builder and Applicant Status system. Phase II will not be implemented until late in calendar year 2005.
