There are a lot of different kinds of illnesses and disabilities that kids and teens
can have, and each one affects people in a different way.
- You might have a chronic health problem, which means it lasts a long time.
- You might be very sick for a few months and have to spend time in a hospital.
- Your health problem might change or limit what you can do at school. Like, you may not
be able to take gym class the same way other kids can if you have asthma or are in a
wheelchair. Or, you might need extra time to take a test.
- You might have to take medicine or use special equipment, such as a walker or
wheelchair.
