Minority High School Apprenticeship Program (MHSAP)

This program offers research apprenticeships to 9th and 10th grade under represented minority (African Ancestry, Hispanic/Latino, Native American or Pacific Islander) students who have demonstrated ability and/or potential in science-oriented studies and activities. Each high school in Suffolk County and Inner City Outreach schools are invited to submit nominees for participation. Approximately 30 students are selected from an average applicant pool of 300.
The term offers four one-week segments of instruction: physics, biology and chemistry, and environmental science.
