NERSC is centered at the Ernest Orlando Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in the hills above the University of California, Berkeley campus.

NERSC's high performance computing and storage systems are located at Berkeley Lab's Oakland Scientific Facility, 415 20th Street (20th Street has been renamed "Thomas L Berkley Way") at Franklin in downtown Oakland.
