Friends of the Jimmy Carter Library Fees and Benefits

Friends of the Jimmy Carter Library are proud partners in helping to support the efforts of the museum to excel as the premier Atlanta landmark bringing the most outstanding national traveling historical exhibitions to the South. In keeping with such a lofty goal, in 2002 the Carter Library presented two national exhibitions: Norman Lear's original copy of the Declaration along with Dr. Milan's, never seen before, Revolutionary War artifacts in Freedom's Journey and American Originals from the National Archives, a collection of over twenty of our nation's most important documents. Exhibitions of such celebrated distinction earned the Library the honor of the "2002 Patriot Award" from the Daughters of American Colonists. Exhibitions of such quality are expensive and incur unexpected necessities in areas where tax dollars cannot be spent. Such a high standard could not be accomplished without support from the Friends of the Library.

In appreciation for this vital support, Friends are invited to special events, lectures, and book signings. The annual membership grants free admission throughout the year. The nine other Presidential Libraries also reciprocate with free admission if they charge admission. Also, the museum shop gives members a discount on all items purchased.
