In the February 7, 2002, meeting of the Procurement Executives Council (PEC, now the Federal Acquisition Council), Angela Styles, Administrator for Federal Procurement Policy, and Gary Krump, PEC Vice Chairman, presided over an awards ceremony to honor individuals responsible for the success of the FedBizOpps program. Angela acknowledged the impressive performance and growth of FedBizOpps from January 2001 to January 2002 and the example of the FedBizOpps program as a leading government model for cross-agency cooperation. FedBizOpps then (August 2002) serviced over 26 million monthly site visits, an inventory of over 380,000 solicitation documents and a user community including 92 agencies, over 20,600 Federal buyers and over 230,000 vendors registered for FBO notification service.
