How To Use Adobe Acrobat Fill-Out Forms
- In order to view these Fill-Out Forms, you need an Adobe Acrobat
Reader. If you don't already have one, click on the following link:
- Once Acrobat Reader is installed on your system, double click on the
form that you would like to fill out. This should open up the form in Reader,
ready for your use. If it doesn't but instead gives you a pop-up menu saying
"Open file with", just locate Acrobat Reader on the list or browse to find it
wherever its located on your computer (most likely under program files).
- Once open, you can proceed to fill out the form. The shaded areas
are the only areas that you are allowed to fill out. To begin filling out,
click in the area of the first highlighted field and begin typing.
- When you are done filling out a field, tab over to the next field
or just click on the field that you would like to fill out.
- When filling out a field with a multiple line format such as
an address field, press "enter" to go to the next line. When you're done, press
the tab key to proceed.
- When filling out a telephone number field, you do not have to
enter the parenthesis or hyphens found in a telephone number. Just enter the 10
digit number and the parenthesis and hyphens will automatically be put in for
you.
- When filling out a date field, you HAVE to enter the date in
the format of mm/dd/yyyy or else your data will NOT be entered and you cannot
proceed.
- When or if you encounter a check box, click on your choice(s)
and that choice will be checked. With some options, you can choose all options,
but with others you will only be allowed to choose one.
- To print the form, click on the Adobe Acrobat print icon --
rather that your Internet browser's print icon. The Adobe Acrobat print icon is
normally located on the left-hand side of the Adobe toolbar. The Adobe toolbar
is normally below Internet browser toolbars and just above the form that is
displayed.
