Classroom Ideas

There are many ways in which you can infuse your curriculum with information about the travels of the Corps of Discovery. Students can be introduced to any of the organic life forms (such as the Cottonwood Tree), land formations, or people (such as the Sioux tribe) encountered during this expedition through topic specific, hands-on activities.

There are several examples at the State of Missouri's Lewis and Clark Website. In addition, please examine the links below to view additional ideas for use in your classroom in conjunction with your study of Lewis and Clark.
