ESA Biological Opinion on Atlantic Pelagic Longline Fishery: On June 1, 2004, the NOAA Fisheries Southeast Regional Office completed Endangered Species Act section 7 consultation with the NOAA Fisheries Highly Migratory Species Division on the continued operation of the pelagic longline fishery for swordfish, tuna, and shark in the Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico, and Caribbean. A biological opinion was prepared that analyzed the effects of the fishery on endangered and threatened species. NOAA Weather Radio
(NWR) is a nationwide network of radio stations broadcasting continuous weather information direct from a nearby National Weather Service office. NWR broadcasts National Weather Service warnings, watches, forecasts and other hazard information 24 hours a day.
