The voting community of the United States is vast and sometimes far removed from cities and towns. Effective communication of election and voting information to all voters is one job of the Election Assistance Commission.

Through a variety of methods including publications such as pamphlets and books, mail, internet, radio and television, the EAC keeps the public informed on issues related to voting. From national publications such as, Developing a User-Centered Voting System and The Electoral College, to local information on polling places and times, the EAC is responsible for making sure that every single American who wants to vote is able to do so, equipped with all the necessary information.

News Releases, reports, and surveys are available on the internet and from Federal Government sources such as the Government Printing Office. Voters can also obtain information on candidates and issues by contacting their congressperson (Library of Congress and Senate) or other state officials.
