Uniformed and Overseas Citizens

This report was completed by EAC in consultation with the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) pursuant to Section 242 of the Help America Vote Act of 2002. This is the first time that EAC has worked with DOD to prepare this Best Practices report and we look forward to future consultations with DOD that will enhance the recommended practices. EAC is committed to assisting state and local election officials in their efforts to ensure the right to vote to the very individuals who are fighting to protect the rights and freedoms of all Americans, and to facilitate voting for all American citizens who may be overseas during an election. We welcome comments and suggestions that will help us improve this report.
