Qty: 1 EA Photometrics Quantix 6303E Digital Camera System (including Data Sheets). System should include F-Mount with 35mm shutter and VIS window; liquid circulation option; and power cord option for 110VAC.
Qty: 1 EA HCK for Quantix to include AIA/PCI board, 10-ft. cable, CD-ROM with PVCAM, RS Image, and PPKs for Windows and Macintosh and documentation.

NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Roper Scientific, Tucson, AZ. This camera will be integrated into our existing x-ray system and must be fully compatible with the equipment contained within our system. Purchasing equipment from another vendor would require replacement of a large portion of the existing x-ray system. Roper Scientific is the only manufacturer of this camera system and the only provider. The Authority is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source.
The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.
Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on May 17, 2004. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
