SARS OUTREACH

The World Health Organization and U.S. Center for Disease Control have lifted their travel advisory on Hong Kong. While Hong Kong is slowly resuming its normal, frenetic business pace, many business representatives and official travelers have postponed their visit to the region due to the outbreak of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The Commercial Service in Hong Kong remains available to provide services. 1. Hong Kong distributor seeks U.S. manufacturers of lanolin cream

Swiss International (Hong Kong) Ltd., a Hong Kong importer and distributor of health foods and health products, seeks supplies of lanolin cream, preferably from U.S. private-label manufacturers. Swiss International distributes to the local department stores, pharmacies and health food retailers. They distribute Odwalla (U.S.)’s food bars and the Optima (U.K.) brand of health supplements, and organic honey bee products. 2. Hong Kong Firm is Sourcing for Plastic Scrap

Majestic Glory Industries Company is sourcing for U.S. plastic Scrap suppliers for immediate purchase. Majestic Glory has a factory in Southern China manufacturing toilet seat covers. Majestic Glory processes up to 2,000 MT for plastic scrap per month. Types of the plastic scrap that Majestic is looking for are: LLDPE, LDPE, HDPE, MDPE, GPPS, HIPS, PP, EVA, and POM with 100% concentrated in lump, film, bale, spool or powder form. Regrind may be accepted. Materials must be in natural, transparent or white color.
