We are frequently contacted by people looking for old friends or trying to contact people currently stationed at Lackland. Unfortunately, we are unable to help locate people, but the following information might assist you:
If you are trying to reach a basic trainee:
Basic trainees do not have access to e-mail. Their rigorous training schedules keep them pretty busy, but they do have opportunities to write letters home. If you have an emergency, you should contact the American Red Cross; they will assist you.
If you are looking for a permanent-party service member who is stationed at Lackland:
Phone numbers for individuals are available through the base locator. The base locator hours are Mon-Fri, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Central Time. The phone number for the Lackland AFB locator is: (210) 671-1841 or DSN 473-1841.
If you are trying to reach any other active-duty Air Force member:

We are unable to locate past members of units. We suggest you write to some of the publications aimed at military readers that run listings of reunion groups. Some of these publications may also be accessed through the Internet.
