The Exempt Organizations Division has been identifying market segments within the universe of exempt organizations, collating available information, and identifying compliance risks associated with each segment.  Each year the Exempt Organizations Division will identify market segments for studies to determine levels of compliance.  Each study will include an examination of a statistically valid sample of exempt organizations within the market segment.  These studies will use checksheets or comparable methods to capture information about the activities and compliance levels of the organizations examined.
