These materials include Public Law 106-107, the Federal Financial Assistance Management Improvement Act of 1999, which provides the mandate for streamlining and simplifying the administrative processes for grants and cooperative agreements, and reports that detail the grant-making agencies’ progress and plans for implementing the Public Law.

Monthly Report to the Grants Executive Board
This report is each month prepared for presentation to the Executive Board responsible for oversight of Pubic Law 106-107 implementation. It shows the milestones and progress toward meeting those milestones for the various streamlining and simplification initiatives.

P.L. 106-107 Annual Reports
Public Law 106-107 requires that each of the 26 grant-making agencies report to Congress each year on their progress in implementing the initial plan submitted to Congress in May 2001. To reflect the interagency partnership that has been achieved over the last several years, each agency’s annual report to Congress consists of a jointly developed report of the interagency collaborative efforts and each agency’s activities that contribute to or further those efforts.

P.L. 106-107
The Federal Financial Assistance Management Improvement Act of 1999, also known as Public Law 106-107, is the statute that underlies the agencies’ efforts to streamline and simply the grants and cooperative agreements administrative process. The Act is included here in its entirety.

P.L. 106-107 Initial Plan
The P.L. 106-107 initial plan was developed by the agencies based on the requirements of subsections 5(a) and (d) of the Act for agency implementation plans. The initial plan was a joint effort of the 26 grant-making agencies and was submitted to the Congress and to the Director of the Office of Management and Budget on May 18, 2001.
