Below are CSCOR/COP's standard special award conditions. All CSCOR/COP
funded principal investigators must follow these guidelines during
their award period. These conditions take precedence over any NOAA
standard terms and conditions issued by NOAA Grants Management Division:
PROGRAMMATIC:
1. Annual and Final Progress Reports are Special Award Requirements
that use COP prescribed formats as announced in the Federal Register
Notice. For this purpose, COP has received OMB clearance under Approval
# 0648-0384, expiration date of 9/30/2006. Hard copies may be found,
along with other required forms and instructions, on the COP website
under Continuation
Applications.
2. Where appropriate, data sets and metadata will be provided to
NODC. Three copies each of any technical reports, publication, or
project syntheses will be provided to the COP. A copy will be forwarded
to the NOAA Library Archives.
3. Publications based upon results of research supported directly,
or indirectly, by this award should include the following acknowledgment:
"This paper is a result of research funded by the National Oceanic
and Atmospheric Administration Coastal Ocean Program under award (Grant
Number) to (Institution)."
4. Investigators understand that the U.S. Government is authorized
to produce and distribute reprints for governmental purposes notwithstanding
any copyright notation.
5. Public reporting burden for this collection of information is
estimated to average 7.5 hours per response, including time for reviewing
instructions, searching existing data sources, gathering and maintaining
the data needed, and completing and reviewing the collection of information.
Send comments regarding this burden estimate or any other aspects
of this collection of information, including suggestions for reducing
this burden, to Leslie.McDonald@noaa.gov.
Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no person is required
to respond to, nor shall any person be subject to a penalty for failure
to comply with a collection of information subject to the requirements
of the Paperwork Reduction Act, unless that collection displays a
currently valid OMB control number.
