DFAS is the world's largest finance and accounting operation. We process a monthly average of 9.8 million payments for Department of Defense personnel (military and civilian); 1.2 million commercial invoices; 450,000 travel vouchers/settlements; 500,000 savings bonds issuances; and 122,000 transportation bills of lading. Our monthly disbursements total approximately $24 billion.

We are an international organization. Our corporate office is located in Arlington, Virginia. Additionally, we have 25 field offices located throughout the United States, Germany and Japan. DFAS provides a progressive and professional work environment at all locations.

DFAS has a Student Career Experience Program (SCEP) for college students interested in pursuing a career in financial management or information technology. It provides paid professional practice experience for college students who are pursuing a four-year college degree. Students who are attending school on at least a half time basis, may opt for full-time, part-time, or summer work schedules. Location availability varies. Participation in SCEP could lead to a rewarding professional career with DFAS after completion of degree requirements.
