Health Resources and Services Administration

Improving the Nation's Health

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Student Educational Employment Program, gives students the chance to gain valuable Federal experience in the health field while continuing their education.

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) directs national health programs that improve the Nation's health by assuring equitable access to comprehensive, quality health care for all. HRSA works to improve and extend life for people living with HIV/AIDS, provides primary health care to medically underserved people, serves women and children through State programs, and trains a health workforce that is both diverse and motivated to work in underserved communities.

Paid and unpaid student opportunities are available for clerical, administrative, management, professional, scientific, technical, and medical positions. Student positions are available throughout the academic year including the summer months. These positions are primarily located in Rockville and Bethesda, Maryland; however, there are also potential placements available in our ten field offices which include Boston, MA; New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Kansas City, MO; Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; San Francisco, CA; and Seattle, WA.

Students interested in applying for consideration for student programs should submit: (a)a letter describing their employment interest; (b) certification from an educational institution that indicates the student is accepted or enrolled, and is taking at least a half-time technical or academic or vocational course load; (c) a photocopy of college transcript or a list of college courses indicating the completion date, grade and credit hours received; (d) a Supplemental Qualifications Statement of Typing and Shorthand Skills if applying for a position which requires typing; and (e) an application/résumé to:
