Situated on the Potomac River, Washington is close to the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Chesapeake Bay, and Atlantic Ocean beaches. Spectator sports fans can follow the Washington Redskins, the Washington Wizards and Mystics, the Capitals and our soccer teams, the DC United and the Washington Freedom. The Baltimore Orioles are just a short drive away, and the NCAA champion Maryland Terrapins also have an enthusiastic following.
