2004 NIDA INTERNATIONAL FORUM:
PROGRESS THROUGH COLLABORATION

JUNE 11–15, 2004

CARIBE HILTON
SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO

MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT

As part of its ongoing efforts to foster international research on drug abuse, the International Program of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) is happy to announce its 2004 NIDA International Forum.

The Forum is a series of research symposia, poster sessions, and network-building activities showcasing NIDA-supported and other international research on drug abuse. This unique scientific meeting allows participants to network with talented colleagues, learn about drug abuse research and policy issues in other countries, and discuss NIDA-supported fellowships and other programs that can support international collaborations.

As in the past, the Forum will be held in conjunction with the annual conference of the College on Problems of Drug Dependence (CPDD). The 2004 NIDA International Forum will begin on June 11, 2004. The CPDD conference dates are June 12-17, 2004. Both will be held at the Caribe Hilton in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The theme of the Forum is "Progress through Collaboration". The Forum will begin with a network-building session on the evening of Friday, June 11, 2004, followed by symposiums on Saturday, June 12. The date of the annual poster session will be announced at a later time.

Participants receiving NIDA travel awards are required to participate in both meetings; please note that separate registration and abstract submissions are required. Registration and abstract submission forms for the NIDA International Forum are now available online. You may submit registrations and abstracts for the Forum electronically, by fax, or by mail. Electronic submission of registration and abstract forms is highly encouraged.

Participants must register separately to attend the CPDD meeting. More information about CPDD registration and hotel reservations is available at the following CPDD Web site: www.cpdd.org.
