The Advisory Committee on Training in Primary Care Medicine and Dentistry was established in 1998 and its members appointed by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in 1999. The committee advises and makes recommendations to the Secretary concerning policy, program development and other matters of significance concerning the HRSA Bureau of Health Professions family medicine, general internal medicine, general pediatrics, general dentistry, pediatric dentistry and physician assistant programs. The Committee meets twice each year. 

The HRSA Bureau of Health Professions coordinates and supports the Advisory Committee. The Executive Secretary of the Advisory Committee is Tanya Pagan Raggio, M.D., M.P.H., Director of the Division of Medicine and Dentistry. For more information on the Committee, contact Jerilyn K.
