Drinking
Water:
Since April, 2004, the NAS Fallon water supply has been
treated by the City of Fallon's state-of-the-art arsenic removal water
treatment plant. The plant, which removes naturally occurring arsenic
from the city and Navy water supply, was constructed in 2004 for a cost of $17
million. It now brings the base's water supply to levels that are in
compliance with the more stringent EPA standards for drinking water that will
take effect in 2006.
