Fire Crews to Conduct Prescribed Burns in Bruneau Valley
Prescribed burn application

Throughout the fall of 2004, fire crews will conduct prescribed burns in Bruneau Valley.

Tumbleweeds accumulate throughout the year along roads and fence lines, at times making roads inaccessible.
Weather conditions this time of year provide acceptable ranges to maintain control of the prescribed burns.

In related news, the Shoshone Field Office recently completed an 8,600-acre prescribed burn project just north of Eden, Idaho. The burn was sprayed earlier this spring and will be reseeded later this year to accomplish land management goals for the area.
