What is this site?

This site presents The Nation's Investment in Cancer Research, a plan and budget summary, prepared in compliance with the National Cancer Act of 1971 (P.L. 92-218). As mandated, this document is provided directly to the President of the United States for formulating the budget request to Congress.

Who manages this site?

This site is managed by the National Cancer Institute's Office of Science Planning and Assessment (OSPA). OSPA has as its primary responsibility developing and coordinating the Institute's scientific planning and evaluation activities. These critical activities enable the Institute to identify needs and opportunities in the field of cancer research and establish research goals.
