Training/Technical Assistance
The purpose of CSAP's knowledge dissemination and application efforts
are to distribute information on science-based prevention policies,
practices, and programs and facilitate their adoption through technical
assistance, publications, and training. Current CSAP technical assistance
and training mechanisms include the following:
Prevention Platform will provide interactive applications to state system service providers, practitioners, and other Preventionists. With a PC and a Web browser, anyone will be able to access training and technical assistance that makes use of substance abuse prevention databases and provides tools for evaluation and management. Prevention Platform will also offer practical support to state prevention service systems for strategic planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on their programs.

The Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) Center for Excellence provides training and technical assistance to a wide variety of people, including persons with FAS/FAE and members of their family, health care providers, social workers, researchers, government personel
funders, and community health adovcates.
