GPO Access contains all published versions of bills
from the 103rd (1993-1994) Congress forward. The 108th Congress database
is updated by 6 a.m. (EST) daily when bills are published and approved
for release. In addition to searching, a browseable Catalog of Congressional
Bills is also available.
To view a catalog of bills for a Congress, select a Congress or Congresses
and click on the "submit" button without having entered any
search terms. Finally, select the appropriate document from the results
list.
To narrow a phrase, use Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT, ADJ) and
quotes around phrases. For example: "national forests" AND
(conservation OR management).
To find variations on words, truncation can be used. For example:
legislat* will retrieve both legislation and legislative.
