Abstract

The Wellness Councils of America (WELCOA) is a national, nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting healthier lifestyles for all Americans, especially through health promotion activities at the worksite. WELCOA acts as a national clearinghouse for information on workplace health promotion and has set national criteria to measure achievement in this area. Companies may apply for these Well Workplace awards and be named to WELCOA's list of America's Healthiest Companies. Through a national network of locally affiliated Wellness Councils and through individual corporate memberships, WELCOA works with companies, organizations, health-serving associations, and communities and provides products and services.
