Threat Reduction Advisory Committee (TRAC)

The TRAC advises and assists the Under Secretary of Defense (Acquisition, Technology and Logistics) on reduction of the threat to the United States and its allies from chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and high explosives (CBRNE), sustainment of the the nuclear weapons deterrent, chemical and biological defense, counterproliferation, weapons effects and other matters related to the DTRA mission. The TRAC identifies and considers emerging weapons of mass destruction (WMD) threats, reviews counters to such threats and assesses the adequacy of DTRA and other programs' responses to national policy and emerging threats.
