Surveys & Studies

The Risk Factor Monitoring and Methods Branch monitors cancer risk factors by assessing tobacco use, food and nutrient intakes, weight status, energy balance, physical activity, sun exposure, and genetic susceptibility among the general population and specific subpopulations. Whenever possible, we conduct such research through secondary analyses of existing national survey data.

However, we have supported the development of additional surveys to meet particular purposes. We have also sponsored several studies to answer specific questions related to methods of assessment and the use of various tests. These surveys and studies are described here.
