Description: The Species Analyst is a research project developing standards and software tools for access to the world's natural history collection and observation databases. The Species Analyst web interface is maintained by the University of Kansas Natural History Museum and Biodiversity Research Center and can be accessed through this web site. In addition to this, the site contains a Components section where it lists the various subprojects of the Species Analyst. Latest updates and events are highlighted in the News section. Other miscellaneous items such as power point presentations and workshop notes are located under Miscellaneous. It provides links to the Darwin Core, links for Data Providers, Data Consumers (including ZX and Zbig Client), and an IT IS XML Interface. The site provides links for software that can be downloaded as well as a link to the Fishnet database. Additionally, the site contains documentation on the Species Analyst project, particularly for the various software components that make up the network.
