USSTRATCOM's workforce includes approximately 800 civilian positions, all integral to mission accomplishment. Our civilian employees are actively engaged in every mission area, so a wide variety of administrative, technical and professional positions are established. Employment opportunities in intelligence and information technology occupations are most common, but operations research, planning and programming, security, financial management and many other career fields are also well represented.
The majority of our positions are located at Offutt Air Force Base near Omaha, Nebraska, but others are in San Antonio, Texas; Arlington, Virginia; Norfolk, Virginia; and Camp Smith, Hawaii. Due to geographical dispersion, different application procedures apply.
Parties interested in employment at USSTRATCOM Headquarters on Offutt AFB may submit resumes, view vacancies and self-nominate using the Air Force Civilian Employment web site.
USSTRATCOM positions in our Joint Information Operations Center (JIOC), Lackland AFB in San Antonio are announced on Air Force Civilian Employment and/or Air Intelligence Agency Directorate of Personnel web sites.
Apply for Cruise Missile Support Agency (CMSA) vacancies at Norfolk and Camp Smith at Department of the Navy Civilian Human Resources. Use the Civilian Hiring and Recruitment Tool to access vacancies for both locations.
Recruiting for positions in Joint Task Force - Global Network Operation (JTF-GNO) in Arlington is through USA JOBS - Official job site of the United States Federal Government.
The Office of Personnel Management (USA JOBS) site also posts most of the vacancies found on the sites listed above.
