The Research Contracts Branch (RCB) participates in the planning, review, award and management of all National Cancer Institute (NCI) contracts and simplified acquisitions. In addition, RCB acts as a service center for contract actions and purchasing required by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Strokes (NINDS) and the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM). The branch is divided into the following Sections:

The Office of the Chief is responsible for the management of the Research Contracts Branch.

The Epidemiology and Support Section awards and administers contracts on behalf of the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics and the Office of the Director.

The Small Business Office works to increase the participation of small and disadvantaged businesses in contracts and subcontracts.

Treatment, Biology, and Sciences Section

The Treatment, Biology, and Sciences Section awards and administers contracts on behalf of the the Division of Cancer Treatment, and Centers, Division of Cancer Biology, and the Center for Cancer Research.
