Conducts short and long term planning for group activities (primarily
requirements and procurement planning). Plans, formulates, and
executes the bureau's budget.Exercises responsibility in the
areas of computer security, training, and personnel management
activities.

Architecture and Planning Group
Robert LaBerry, Chief Enterprise Architect
Supports the CIO as the management advisor and senior consultant
regarding corporate information architecture, Information Technology
standards, and information systems planning activities.
These efforts directly support the RRB's and Federal Government's
ability to share information through open-systems interoperability.
This entails providing agencywide guidance, expert advice, oversight
and leadership in developing, promoting, and maintaining an information
architecture framework to meet the RRB's current and future business
needs.
Information Resources Management
Center
Ronald J. Hodapp
This Center is composed of three Groups: Risk Management,
Records Management, and Data Management. The groups support
the CIO for information resources management in fulfilling responsibilities
required by the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA), Privacy Act, Computer
Matching and Privacy Protection Act, Computer Security Act and
OMB requirements. Develops
and enforces data administration policies and standards.
Guides and coordinates the RRB's forms, correspondence,
directives, and reports management programs.
Application Design Center
Scott Palmer
This Center is composed of five groups
organized along line-of-business responsibilities, and
two groups with E-Government responsibilities. The
groups plan and carry out systems analysis and programming
services to support fiscal, personnel, taxation, master benefit
records, and unemployment and sickness, check-writing, claims
adjudication, Medicare, and earnings functions, as well as systems
analysis and programming services to support the Internet, Intranet,
Extranet, document imaging and personal computer programming
functions.
Infrastructure Services Center
Deborah Carter
This Center is composed of five Groups. The groups perform
a number of functions related to the agency's critical infrastructure.
They are responsible for mainframe technical support functions
including operating system support, data communications, and database
administration, as well as computer operations run on a three-shift
basis. They are also responsible for administration and maintenance
of LAN/WAN, Exchange Mail Service, desktop configuration,
data communications and Help Desk.
