to the Marine Corps International Affairs Officer home page. It is our
intent to provide program information, billet listings, and links to
other points of expertise for the countries and regions of littoral
concern.
All Marines are expected to be aware of foreign affairs issues. From Presley O'Bannon to Pete Ellis, Smedley Butler and Chesty Puller to today's MEU(SOC), all Marines are involved in the prosecution of foreign affairs, as an instrument of national policy making. IAO's provide MAGTF/Component commander's with regional, linguistic, cultural and military expertise to facilitate C4 with military or civilian foreign and international organizations in expeditionary operations across the spectrum of conflict. |
