This web site will take you a mile down beneath the ocean surface to explore Axial Seamount, an active submarine volcano just off the Oregon coast. Using virtual reality, we can put you in a 3-D model of the seafloor and let you view hydrothermal vents and fresh lava flows as if you were really there. At each of the virtual sites below there is an animated tour and links to video clips taken by a remotely operated vehicle (ROV). To
