Pursuant to Rule 3.5 of the Rules of Practice and Procedure of the United States Sentencing Commission, a public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the United States Sentencing Commission, Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Building, Commissioners Conference Room, South Lobby, Suite 2-500. It is expected that the public hearing will last approximately two hours. The purpose of the public hearing is to gather testimony on the implementation of the PROTECT Act and focus preliminarily on the implementation of early disposition (a.k.a. "fast track") programs.
