Nonresident studies students also need to have an AKO login. They may also receive help from the Nonresident Studies

With your AKO account, you can find a link to the private website on AKO. From the AKO homepage, click on the Reference link under AKO

on Installations. From the new window that pops up, scroll down to Command and General
Staff College (CGSC) and click the link. You will now be on the main page of the CGSC private site. Once you're in, click on Nonresident
Studies, then Publications, then Student texts.
Find CARL's Private Side
Follow the directions above to the private CGSC
website, then click Resources on the tab. There is a link to the
private library site there.
CGSC Theses and SAMS Monographs
You may search by subject, author or title for
monographs or theses done by CGSC and SAMS students in DTIC's
STINET. Many of the recent titles are available full text at this site.
Conducting Research
We have a wide variety of online resources to assist
you as you research a topic, either personal or professional. C.A.R.L.'s
databases web page will lead you to these resources. Some of them have a limitation to just the library or the Fort due to contract
stipulations with the various vendors. You also have access to many databases
via your AKO login.
Our Internet Gateway has links to over 1000 websites to assist you in your
research. These links are arranged into broad subject categories, such as U.S. Army, Military Education, Military History,
and International Affairs. One of our favorite websites is the Federation of American Scientists site at www.fas.org.
A good starting point for research on military topics is the Air University Library Index to Military Periodicals at
http://www.dtic.mil/search97bin/aulimp/search.
Quick information, such as dictionaries, telephone directories and how to cite your resources are available on our Ready
Reference web page. The site map will also help you find
information on our website http://cgsc.leavenworth.army.mil/carl/sitemapalpha.asp.
You are welcome to contact us for assistance if you
are having difficulty finding what you need. The reference
request form asks for your status, just let us know you are a
nonresident student.
CSI/CGSC Press, Leavenworth Papers
You will find these papers, many of which are available full-text, at this part of our website http://cgsc.leavenworth.army.mil/carl/resources/csi/csi.asp.
