In 1998, CARL began a project to digitize legacy materials from the CARL Special
Collection. In 1999, the Combat Studies Institute, the Combined Arms Research Library and the United States Disciplinary Barracks
initiated a project to make CSI publications available on the Internet.
Items were also chosen from the Archives to be digitized and made available to the general public.
Many books and selected collections from CARL's Special Collection
have been digitized and are also available in full text. You can browse CGSC annual reports,
diaries from the Philippine Insurrection or
World War II, Leavenworth
Papers, or CSI publications, to name just a few of the materials
available.

CARL's newest project is a separate Digital
Library using ContentDM digital collection management system,
which contains digital versions of textual documents and photographs
from the CARL collections. Documents from World
War II , SASO
materials current to today's military operations, and historical
CGSC and Fort Leavenworth publications will be available.
Beginning with the 2003 class, monographs
from School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS) students and Master
of Military Art & Science (MMAS) theses from CGSC students will
also be available on this site.
Visitors can browse the collections in
our Digital Library or use the Advanced
Search function within the ContentDm system which allows
the user to search titles, authors, subject headings, or keywords.
