Teddy
L. Mitchell,
M.D. of Dallas, Texas – Dr Mitchell is the Medical Director for
the Cooper Wellness Program at the renowned Aerobics Center in Dallas,
Texas. He also serves as Vice-President and Associate Medical
Director for the Cooper Clinic. His medical practice focuses
on health maintenance and disease prevention through physical fitness
and proper nutrition. An active researcher and author, Dr.
Mitchell has published dozens of studies in peer reviewed scientific
journals and serves as both a columnist and medical editor for USA
Weekend magazine. In addition to his writing, he also
lectures extensively to both lay and scientific groups. Dr.
Mitchell received his medical education at the University of Texas
Medical Branch. He is a diplomat of the American Board of
Internal Medicine, and holds a certificate of added qualifications
in Sports Medicine. He is also a fellow of the American College
of Sports Medicine. While in high school in Longview, Texas,
Dr. Mitchell competed at the national level in swimming, and several
of his records in freestyle and butterfly continue to hold more
than 20 years later.
