  • FirstGov for Kids--Welcome to the U.S. government interagency Kids' Portal. This site was developed and is maintained by the Federal Citizen Information Center. It provides links to Federal kids' sites along with some of the best kids' sites from other organizations all grouped by subject. Explore, learn, have fun and don't forget to bookmark us!
  • GirlsAllowed--Meet Anni, the animated main character of the site. She'll take you through her day and share real-life experiences with you. She's not perfect. She gets mad, gets sad, makes mistakes, and learns. You can learn with her as you check out each day's activity and apply it in your own life.
  • ¡Soy Unica! ¡Soy Latina! -  Check out this billingual Web site dedicated to 9- to 13- year-old Latina girls.
  • Powerful Bones--You'll find lots of cool information on this site about how to be a powerful girl and take good care of your bones.
  • Children of Alcoholics/Children of Substance Abusers--If your parents drink too much or use drugs, it's not your fault. This site is a great resource of support.
  • ePeerVoices.com--Become an ePeer Leader to jumpstart anti-drug projects and activities in your own schools and community. What is your antidrug?
  • National Association of Children of Alcoholics Kids Page--Learn how alcohol and other drugs hurt everyone in a family. Learn how to feel safer and less stressed out. Find new ways to deal with hassles at home. Find hope, even if your parents don't change.
  • White House Kids--Find out what life in the White House is like in this area just for kids. Play some games and learn about presidential history.
  • America's Library--Discover the stories of America's past by meeting amazing Americans, jumping back in time, and exploring the states. This site is a must for all your history buffs! It's awesome.
  • PBS Kids--This site has a cool "Did You Know?" area that you are sure to love. The "Fun and Games" section has a joke machine with silly jokes. There are even sections of this site for different PBS kid shows that you can look at with your little brother or sister.
  • FEMA for Kids--This site teaches you how to be prepared for disasters and how you can prevent disasters by taking action now! You can also learn what causes disasters, play games, read stories and become a Disaster Action Kid.
  • Kids @ National Geographic--Learn an amazing fact or create your own cartoon. The site is updated monthly and includes all kinds of fun activities. It has great articles about different kinds of animals too. This is a great site for creative and curious girls like you!
  • Your Expedition--After more than 1,300 miles and 64 days of skiing and ski-sailing, Ann Bancroft and Liv Arnesen arrived safely at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station on January 16. They stopped briefly for supplies and a warm meal before setting out on the final 900 miles to McMurdo Station and the completion of the first non-motorized crossing of Antarctica by women. You can follow the adventures of these Sheroes at this cool Web site.

  • SGR4KIDS--Your online smoke-free magazine. This is the Surgeon General's Report for Kids about Smoking.
  • USDA for Kids--Learn all kinds of information from gardening to nutrition!
