Heartland (6) Frank Carlson Federal Building

Located in the Central Business District of the city of Topeka, the Frank Carlson Federal Building was constructed at 444 Southeast Quincy in 1977.  The building is situated on approximately 2.4 acres adjacent to the downtown historic Post Office.  The entry to the building is a beautiful four-story atrium which houses an unusual glass sculpture entitled “Tornado.”  The sculpture is greatly enhanced by the light filtering in from the rooftop skylight.
