The Internal Transportation Security Working Group’s mission is to create a collaborative environment for agencies to develop a governmentwide transportation security strategy.  This strategy will embrace security training, outreach and creation of transportation alert system.  Additionally, the working group will promote standardization in internal transportation security policies and consider recommending development of transportation security plans for transportation functions.

Outcomes: A better-informed and safer federal transportation worker through standardization and increased coordination and awareness of the changing transportation security requirements.  

The next meeting of the working group is planned for June 29^th at 
GSA in Washington DC.
