Transportation Management Policy Transportation Electronic Commerce Initiative

The Electronic Commerce Forum’s (ECI) mission is to investigate and catalogue commercial and government transportation e-commerce best practices in the areas of order entry, freight and household goods tacking, and transportation billing and payment.  The ECF encourages agencies and industry to partner and join in GSA approved pilot programs to explore alternatives to current manual and paper intensive processes.

In compliance with the Paper Work Elimination Act and promotion of the President’s Management Agenda.  GSA has approved a pilot between RoadWay Express and UNICOR to explore alternatives to the paper Public Voucher for Transportation Charges or the Standard Form 1113 (SF1113).  The pilot will determine how UNICOR can best incorporate electronic processes to replace the SF 1113.  For information on this pilot please contact Elizabeth Allison.

Forum Outcome:  improved order entry systems and payment processes between the transportation service providers and the federal transportation community; lower cost to the federal agency through the use of electronic systems.
