A Message from the Regional Administrator

Color Picture of Brad ScottWelcome,

Since my appointment as Regional Administrator in September 2001, I have taken great pride in the significant progress made by my associates in the GSA Heartland Region with the aim of enhancing the manner in which we empower our federal agency customers to best achieve their missions. The GSA Heartland Region accomplishes this by providing for the Federal government’s workplace needs through the acquisition of office space, equipment, supplies, telecommunications and information technology in federal facilities throughout Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska.

To enhance its already impressive record, the GSA Heartland Region has embarked upon an aggressive agenda to forge strategic alliances with our fellow federal agency customers, providing them with seamless, total workplace solutions. We provide value by serving as a trusted advisor on the wide spectrum of issues and programs that create world-class work environments for federal employees.

As we work to enable our federal customers to accomplish their missions, we never lose sight of our duty to serve as an effective steward for the American taxpayer. GSA places great importance on its dual role of serving the federal government and the American people.

One way GSA succeeds at this, beyond accomplishing its traditional mission, is to invest in the urban core of cities throughout America through the GSA Good Neighbor Program. Through this program, GSA seeks opportunities to partner with local communities in support of their downtown revitalization efforts. The GSA Heartland Region, in particular, embraces this concept and can point to numerous successful projects in which the federal and local communities have joined to invest in the future of their downtown regions throughout the four-state area.

I thank you for your interest in the GSA Heartland Region. My associates and I look forward to the opportunity to work with you in the best interest of the federal government and the American people.

Sincerely,

Signature of Brad Scott

Bradley M. Scott
