Buildings Reimbursable Work Authorization Form Changes

This section provides GSA’s customers quick access to information about changes to the GSA Reimbursable Work Authorization (RWA) form (GSA Form 2957). Effective October 1, 2003, the RWA form reflects the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) requirement that civilian agencies include their Dun and Bradstreet (D&B) Data Universal Numbering System (D-U-N-S®) number. Each military service will use its Department of Defense Activity Address Code (DoDAAC). When referencing both civilian and military, the term Business or Trading Partner Network (BPN/TPN) number is used.

In addition starting October 1, 2003, the Department of Treasury requires that all Intra-Governmental Payment and Collection (IPAC) transactions include the Treasury Account Symbol (TAS). The Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Defense require their agencies to provide the Requisition ID and the Fiscal Station Symbol, respectively. These requirements are included in the new RWA form.

Also, future RWA requests must be submitted on the new RWA form. The exception to the rule is that agencies who use their internal automated system to produce the RWA form may continue using the old RWA form until appropriate system changes are made to create the new form. If the old form is used, please include the new data if it is available. Amendments are not required for RWA requests processed on the old form that have been approved and assigned by both parties.

Note: GSA WILL NOT REJECT RWAs THAT DO NOT INCLUDE THE BPN NUMBER OR THE TAS.
