We wish to present to you Proceedings from the Inter-Agency Grantees Conference on Metabolic Engineering held at the National Science Foundationon June 28, 2001.

This Conference consisted of presentations by all Grantees from the first two competitions held by the Inter-Agnency Working Group on Metabolic Engineering (MEWG).There was also a brief discussion of "in vitro Metabolic Engineering". The electronic version of this report, which is available at:
